Contacts & Organisations
The Contacts module is the central directory for all individuals and organisations associated with your museum. These records are used across all other modules, including Accessions (as sources), Loans (as borrowers), and Membership.

Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Centralised Directory: Search and manage all contacts in one place.
- Relational Data: Link contacts to accessions, items, and loans.
- Membership Tracking: Identify active members and their subscription status.
- Organisation Support: Toggle between individual and organisation display modes.
Adding a New Contact
Section titled “Adding a New Contact”- Navigate to People & Organisations > Contacts in the sidebar.
- Click the New Contact button.
- Select the Contact Type (e.g., Person, Organisation, Donor).
- Fill in the required details:
- First Name & Last Name (for Individuals)
- Organisation Name (for Organisations)
- Email & Phone
- Address Details
- Click Save.

Managing Contacts
Section titled “Managing Contacts”- Search: Use the search bar to find contacts by name, email, or organisation.
- Filter: Filter by contact type (e.g., show only ‘Donors’).
- Edit: Click on a contact row to open the full record for editing.

Permissions Required
Section titled “Permissions Required”To work with Contacts, you need the following permissions:
- View Contacts (
contacts_read): Allows you to see the contacts list and view record details. - Manage Contacts (
contacts_create,contacts_update): Required to add new contacts or edit existing ones. - Delete Contacts (
contacts_delete): Required to remove contact records.
